From Peshmerga Ranks to Club Presidency: The Success Story of Hersh Kamal

Sporting and Professional Career

Mr. Hersh Kamal possesses a rich history spanning both playing and sports administration. His debut as a player dates back to 1990 when he started playing for the "Kamal Salim" team. He subsequently served the "Nawjawan" and "Blisa" teams.

In 1994, due to his talent, he was selected to play for the first team of "Ashti" Club. However, due to his involvement in the Peshmerga life, he took a break from playing for a period. Later, in 2000, he returned to the pitches and played for "Sana'a" Club for two years, before stepping away from playing once again due to organizational work and Peshmerga duties.

Transition to Sports Administration

Hersh Kamal began his administrative experience in 2005 as the supervisor of the youth football team. Owing to his competence and dedication, he gained the full trust of the athletes and was elected as a member of the Administrative Board of Newroz Sports Club in 2008.

Continuing his administrative successes within the club, he became the Vice President of Newroz Sports Club in 2017, playing an impactful role in the club's development.

In 2026, as a tribute to his rich history and experience, Mr. Hersh Kamal was elected as the President of Newroz Sports Club, to lead a new era of achievements for the club.
